Wy’s Wings was founded by its owner whose favorite food has been Buffalo Wings since 1980. Buffalo wings have been a staple in his dietary regimen ever since.
In 1990 he began to make his own sauce which he was strongly encouraged to put on the market by just about everyone to whom he served it to.
The recipe evolved and was finished for large scale production in early 2001 and actually improved in taste and flavor over stove top cooking when it went to mass production, a very unusual occurrence.
Wy’s sauces incorporate a smattering of the ingredients that have made the best Buffalo Wing places in Buffalo and Upstate New York what they are today.
Wy has then added Wy’s own blend of secret spices and seasonings to distinguish this sauce as the best wing sauce that will ever grace your taste buds.
Wy’s hotter sauces not only provide heat but incredible flavor and taste as well. They are widely recognized throughout the industry by those that sample them as sauces with perfect heat level
gradation as well as heat/flavor balance as they run from Mild to “Wy’s Guy.”
Wy’s milder sauces have an incredible flavor that will not be found in any other milder wing sauces. To that line Wy has added numerous other flavors with others in the making.
Wy’s Wings wing sauces are a line of wing sauces that stand alone at the top second to none in the industry!
They are all fully prepared sauces that you could not create any less expensively in your shop.
They use the finest in ingredients and the end product makes that obvious.

What is a Buffalo Wing anyway? I didn't even know Buffaloes had wings, eh!
A Buffalo Wing is merely a chicken wing ala Buffalo. OK, so what is that supposed to mean?
Buffalo style sauce is cayenne pepper based sauce and the better ones have some spices added to enhance the basic flavor.
These combinations of spices are what distinguish one Buffalo Wing sauce from another. We have taken the best combination
of spices that belong in wing sauce and made one heck-of-a sauce. Once you try it, you'll see why it is “the best in wing sauce.”
Because they originated in Buffalo, NY they are called Buffalo wings. A small bar on Main St. in downtown Buffalo, The Anchor Bar,
lays claim to having begun this tasty culinary tradition. It supposedly happened back in 1964 when the chicken producers practically
couldn't give wings away. They cooked 'em up and decided to sauce them up and place them out on the bar for their guests. The rest is
history as they say. After a couple of beers, hey, even pickled pigs’ feet start to look good. No offense to pigs feet lovers everywhere.

The challenging version is that an establishment owned by John Young, a black American who had a restaurant in Buffalo as well during
that time kicked off the whole shebang. Anyone that has watched Sanford & Son understands that chicken necks and backs were considered
a soul food back then and consumed by the African American community in the states due to their inexpensiveness. Lending support to this
version, wings fell into the same category.
Young’s restaurant supposedly served a different type of sauce than a cayenne pepper sauce and on breaded wings. So how close Buffalo Wings
were to being a breaded product with a somewhat sweeter sauce than what they are today we will never know. As it now stands to bread Buffalo
Wings is considered sacrilege in Buffalo and Western New York, the home of wings.
Today Buffalo wings can be ordered in just about every pizzeria, bar, and restaurant in Upstate NY as well as in many others across the country
and also in some of the finest restaurants nationally. They have become one of America's favorite foods and America’s fastest growing food in
terms of popularity.
Wings have also quickly spread from Buffalo Style wings to pretty much any sauce that can be put on a wing.
And of course we are laying claim to having the best buffalo wing sauces on the market! Try them and see if you don't agree!

Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce
Y
Y
This is the best Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce in the business. Most mild wing sauces are just a “buttered down” version of Red Hot or some lesser quality substitute for either. Ours is in a class by itself and was easily the most difficult one to make.
Medium Buffalo Wing Sauce
Y
Y
This Wy’s Wings sauce has an incredible blend of spices and seasonings but just enough heat to put it in the spicy category but not enough to put anyone over the edge. It will satisfy Buffalo Wing connoisseurs and novice wing eaters equally. Even those preferring hotter wings will find that the flavor in this is unmatched by any of its competitors! This sauce will satisfy all wing lovers everywhere.
Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
Y
Y
This sauce defers to the old standby Jalapeno pepper and not the more dreaded Habanero pepper which is found in the X-Hot and “Wy’s Guy” sauces. Therefore it doesn’t have that sweetness that the Habanero has, but the Jalapeno has a nice flavor in its own right. If you like it hot you’ll like this one too. In fact, it hits you immediately and more so than the X-Hot or the Wy’s Guy, except that those two continue to get hotter while the Hot maintains the same heat level from the first bite throughout the entire wing eating experience. The endorphin rush will usually begin with the Hot.
X-Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
Y
Y
This sauce is a milder version of our famous "Wy’s Guy" sauce. The flavor and taste is identical with just enough Habanero peppers in it to give it that mouth watering flavor, yet not quite enough to leave you cryin’ for your mama. You’ll feel the heat, but it will be more along the lines of a traditional hot/extra-hot. It will leave you craving that next wing or your next order of wings every time however. We promise! The same spices and seasonings that make Wy’s Wings sauces what they are, are present in this one also.
"Wy’s Guy" Buffalo Wing Sauce
Y
Y
Like it HOT!!! This sauce is guaranteed to have your taste buds doing a little dance but they’ll be "oh so happy" doing it! They’ll be beggin’ you to put another wing into your mouth every time. This heat-flavor combination is unmatched by other wing sauces. So if you like your wings very hot with incredible Habanero flavor and taste, then this is the sauce for you.
Wysdom (Sweet Buffalo)
Y
Y
This one is exactly what it says, it’s a Buffalo Wing Sauce with a hint of sweetness. It burns the taste buds to a medium hot level. So if you’re looking for something different, start here.
Sweet & Tangy Mild
Y
Y
We call these our “dessert wings” sauce. After you slide down an order of your favorite Buffalo Wings, chase it with a pleasing sweet wing with a citrus-y tang to it. Yes, we are joking, … sort of! They also make a fine meal in their own right. Wy’s Sweet & Tangy wing sauce can also be applied to just about anything. It’s an incredible dipping sauce, an outstanding condiment, a sauce for cooked pasta, and a killer wing sauce all in one. This sauce is very unique and one that doesn’t need much heat to be good. Kids love it as well. We like it best on wings, but then again, we eat wings for breakfast, … regularly! You won’t find a sauce in this genre which is tastier!
Sweet & Tangy Hot
Y
Y
This one is identical to the Sweet & Tangy Mild except that there’s a medium-hot level heat to it.
Teriyaki
Y
Dang if we didn’t outdo ourselves here! Our goal after one of our customers asked for a Teriyaki was to simply produce one that was excellent and which was the proper consistency for applying to wings. We took the best ones that we could find, used those as a guide, and then surprised the bejeepers out of ourselves when on the first go-round it resulted in what we an many consider the best Teriyaki in the business. Again, if you can find a better one, then short of letting us know what it is, by all means, use it!
Tangy BBQ (Mild)
Y
We’re not claiming to have the best BBQ sauce by any stretch; that would be foolish as there are gazillions of them out there! What we do have is a nice tasting BBQ sauce in mild and spicy that is formulated to be the proper consistency for wings and one that has that patented “Wy’s Wings tang” to it. Is it good? You bet it is; but it’s a BBQ Wing Sauce first and foremost for restaurants wanting something a little different perhaps or otherwise merely looking to round out their wing program needs in the interests of a “one stop shop.” In fact, that’s exactly why we created it. It’s a little of all the varieties of BBQ sauce; Texas, Carolina, Louisiana, Kansas City, etc.
